Curriculum:
Overview:
Study the intersection of computer science and electrical engineering to develop modern computer models and technologies. Learn hardware, software, and computing principles to work in fields related to computer systems design and manufacturing.
Intro Courses:
ECE 2020 Fundamentals of Digital Design
Explore design at the layers of a computing platform from switches and wire to a programmable machine. At each layer, the design process of transforming a specification into an implementation is introduced and practiced. Design tools are used to build, evaluate, and compare implementation approaches.
ECE 2035 Programming for Hardware/Software Systems
Building on one’s experience with high‑level programming languages, this course focuses on how software is translated into hardware‑level actions, and how operating systems and computer architectures support that process.
CS 1331 Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming
Introduction to techniques and methods of object-oriented programming such an encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism. Emphasis on software development and individual programming skills.
