I made a U on my midterm progress report. What do I do now?
Midterm progress report (MPR) grades are submitted to the Office of the Registrar for all classes numbered 1000 and 2000 in the Fall Semester and Spring Semester. MPRs are reported to students as either a U-Unsatisfactory or S-Satisfactory. A grade of A grade of “U” indicates that, based on the work completed at about 40% through the academic term, the student’s standing is in the “D” or lower range.
MPRs are used for advising students and do not calculate into your grade-point average (GPA) at Georgia Tech. Many majors require academic advising for students that receive an unsatisfactory MPR and may place a registration hold until students attend advising. To ensure you are meeting the academic advising requirements for your major, pay close attention to your GT email after MPRs are released with advising instructions.
